I cannot write enough about this article! WOW! It was so brave, honest, and so inspiring that Zahava shared her story in The Mishpacha Magazine! The more we write, read, and talk about mental illness the more the stigma will stop. And most importantly the more people that can get the help they really need. Mental illness is just like any other illness. It also requires therapies, medications, and treatments with real doctors. It’s so important that people don’t feel alone, that they can meet other women like themselves. We all have struggles and we all need to share our thoughts, feelings, and dreams with others who we have so much in common with. I have learned and grown a tremendous amount since I have been involved in Chazkeinu. This organization is only a year and half young and has already helped so many women throughout the world. Many friendships and positive relationships have been formed and they continue to grow and inspire. Chazkeinu has made a huge difference in literally thousands of women’s lives. We really do strengthen ourselves by strengthening each other. Thank you Chazkeinu! Thank you Mishpacha for printing this article! Thank you to everyone who is stopping the stigma of mental illness!
Chazkeinu Connections is a warm and inviting online forum where Chazkeinu Sisters share, give, and connect in a safe, anonymous environment. There is also a forum specifically for family members of those who are struggling with mental health.
